History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Quarethon alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Sellsword. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
