Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Veloptima's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Veloptima was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature hand crossbow.

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of orcs may trigger it at times.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many orcs want her driven away.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Performer, but he got bored and became a Cartwright. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Cartwright.

Description: This woman is unhealthily muscled, almost every single one of her veins is visible when she is not flexing. Her shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for her due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. Her blonde hair is thinning but still full. She wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Alain fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
