History: She was born in the west. Art liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. Her job bores her to no end. She has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Avice grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Avice. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
