History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Menny was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Servant profession.

History: Cockaby lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Servant, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
