History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Beast was born on a far southern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Bellfounder. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge.
