It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and further expansion of business

As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. His black hair is singed and shortened. He has a dull look in his red eyes.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. The war was a terrible time for him, and Rimmon does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. When Rimmon reached his early adolescence his Tiefling mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Rimmon fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
