Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A gifted student he started as a Shepherd, but he got bored and became a Carpenter. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and doesn't want to be a carpenter and was forced into it by his family

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He's also a talented Mercenary, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Valanthe grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she desires power and/or immortality

History: Her martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To pay off her debts; and to share knowledge with the world
