Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Server hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: She loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her writing with anyone who is interested.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he has passion for adventuring and risk
