History: Rael hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He married young, but lost his spouse to illithids. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Rael was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Born to a Knight, his father struggled to pay the bills. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. After a long history of fighting, Thorin and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
