History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. After a long history of fighting, Bertram and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She came across an abandoned tomb where she found a relic that called out to her. After picking it up she was cursed by vampirism.
