Personality: She hates goblins. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Shax was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Eberk was born the youngest of three triplets. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
