He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Tanner for the past few years.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: Sybil was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She has dedicated herself to building a better kind of golem.
