Description: He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. He carries with him a set of nunchakus on his belt, each one with a amethyst on the hilt. His long golden hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. He has gleaming, smiling hazel eyes.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Hogar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

History: She was born in the west. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and her religion dominates her actions

Description: Runty and weak-looking, he wears white leather gloves, a white jacket, and tight pants. His red hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His eyes are brown and catlike.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Malmûg alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and he wants revenge against dire rats
