History: He comes from a rich northern family. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Shautha wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Commoner, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Bookbinder and was forced into it by her family; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

History: She was born in the east. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and a strong sense of loyalty to half-elven people

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. After a long history of fighting, Seven and his spouse have recently divorced.
