History: Nurkara hails from a village terrorized by goblins. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Nurkara alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Gnomish companion (his 'brother'). He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

The gnolls captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Oda was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Bookbinder arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. After months of barely getting by, Nedda managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.
