History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: He was born in the west. Shane was born on a far western forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Herbalist. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
