Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Shifting lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Shifting was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and balancing his hectic life and new laborer responsibilities is difficult
