Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Tree's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Through the years after Tree was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Tree's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Egelina embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: Born in the north to a Unemployed, Egelina learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Unemployed. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered north to less war torn lands. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
