History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Helen was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Helen's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He worked as a nervous Carter and found it very stressful. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Carter for hire.
