Description: With tan face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. He has a long auburn beard with little hanging trinkets. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his green eyes.
Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.
History: He was born in the north. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter.

Description: She is well dressed, but even with her fine clothing she looks run-down, and she perpetually has her whip ready. She wears her silver hair up. This violet eyed easterner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: She is fixated on the number 54. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage daughter.
History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Halfling companion (her 'brother'). She was granted arcane powers by her dying sister.

Description: A middle-aged woman, she wears a worn and beaten armor, and is pretty ugly. She has a long black ponytail with little hanging trinkets. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines amber.
Personality: She hates gnolls. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.
History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when she was still a young child. The gnolls captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Volen was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.
Motivation: Many gnolls want her driven away.

Description: The light-skinned man stands 5'4" and is generally shirtless and showing off his tattooed chest. He wears his white hair up. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady brown eyes.
Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. During his travels, Jocelyn and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Jocelyn discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Jocelyn fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
