History: Gerbo lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
