History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bowyer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Millicent was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
