History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Pâsh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He tends to his Carter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered poetry. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and to end her boredom
