History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Through the years after Vola was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Vola's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Kaladan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and balancing his hectic life and new miller responsibilities is difficult
