History: He comes from a rich western family. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform After months of barely getting by, Valafar managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
