History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Volen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Merchant and occasionally as a mercenary.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: Kelter lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 12th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
