History: Leaf hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He married young, but lost his spouse to gnolls. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

History: She comes from a rich southern family. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: She is content; and she seems to be bored by most things
