History: She was born in a small desert village. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her father. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Rogue in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
