She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she has decided she is irredeemable

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Vani hails from a village terrorized by orcs. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Miner work with an outfit from a few towns over. Miner work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She struck the Miner job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this southern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Mugrunden is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: This fat eastern woman has a bulbous nose and wears a shirt that is too small, which lets her gut show, with a ratty yellow coat over it. Her skin is also unnaturally pale. She wears a wide-brimmed hat to hide her balding. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: She is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as she rather likes the sound of her voice. Her demeanor is somewhat feminine. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her mother.

History: Beatrice hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the east.
