History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: This woman loves painting and to teach people painting more than just about anything. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Tarak grew up listening to his father's many stories. His first spouse was a Dilettante, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and an old rival family wants him found
