Personality: Rathkran is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. The war was a terrible time for him, and Rathkran does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Rathkran has worked very hard to control his curse. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. Jaxi is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Jaxi lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She likes to make people angry or surprised. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: Zanna was born the youngest of three triplets. Through the years after Zanna was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Zanna's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
