History: Born in the east to a Navigator, Malquis learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Brewer. She now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Elegant has worked very hard to control her curse. She now mingles about in high society.
