Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. The war was a terrible time for him, and Raymond does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Raymond was born with his mother's beautiful face. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and to clean up the streets

Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
