History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Hecat was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. In her 12th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Hecat alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. After a long history of fighting, Hecat and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.
