Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Balam never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: Calm and collected, she is a well trained Crown-heir. She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. While she appears to be a normal Half-Elf, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
