History: Born in the west to a Crown-heir, Verin learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Through the years after Verin was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Verin's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. After coming to the age of reason, Nirgel took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.
