History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Joan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Joan alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Joan was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When Chaedi reached her early adolescence her Elf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She now mingles about in high society.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.
