History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Ekk never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.
