History: He was born in a small plains village. Veit was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Veit decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: Mardnab wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: She was raised in a desert tribe. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
