History: Gardain was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Havilar was born the youngest of three triplets. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born to a Bookbinder, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Meriele fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
