Cockaby liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the west. Seere was orphaned to a temple shortly after her birth. She was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above herself and to hold her god always in her heart. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Panana alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. A true patriot, Kilvar would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Kilvar was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.
