Personality: Gruk wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Commoner, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. After coming to the age of reason, Gruk took it upon himself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Hethress is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.
