History: Left-Handed was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Scribe they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Cartwright, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Cartwright and was forced into it by his family; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Laucian was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gifted student he started as a Layabout, but he got bored and became a Detective. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Detective for the past few years.

Personality: Fax hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing poetry.
