Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He dresses like a well dressed Guard does. He has no hair. He has a dull look in his violet eyes.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Jak embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Jak was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has achieved small success as a Guard.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and balancing his hectic life and new guard responsibilities is difficult

Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He wears tattered old clothes. His brown fur is heavily combed to the right. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: Left-Handed hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his music career. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Left-Handed was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Left-Handed decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Voice: Dark and ominous

Description: A moderately attractive woman, she wears baggy tan pantaloons and a grey scarf. Her chestnut hair is cut short. She wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Elf in existence. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While she appears to be a normal Elf, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the north.

Description: This late middle aged woman wears green leather gloves, a green jacket, and tight pants and is in decent physical shape. She has no hair. She has silver eyes.

Personality: She is witty, but her monotone delivery comes off as unnerving She has a habit of throwing herself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: Akta hails from a village terrorized by orcs. She took after her father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her father taught her to defend herself. When her father died while fighting orcs, the young Akta began to lead the lost caravan. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and many orcs want her driven away
