History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. After coming to the age of reason, Jocelyn took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.
