History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Mantus grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Balam grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Balam. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: Shadow lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Ploughman. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.
