Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Jak embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Jak was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Jak's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Naeris alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
