History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Guard they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Unemployed, and she later adopted a second son.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to unite with her brother

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Born in the east to a Map Maker, Jarana learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. After a long history of fighting, Jarana and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Naill alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Naill was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
