He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He hates giants. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Mreksh was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Gillyd was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Gillyd decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
