The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to illithids.

Motivation: Expand his business; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
